Clinical Study of Primary Depressive Symptom Part VII: Chronological Comparison of Depressive Symptom between 1974-1976 and 1992-1993

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the changing picture of symptom pattern in the primary depressive patients during the past eighteen years(1974-1976 and 1992-1993) using Hamilton's Rating Scale for Depression.
During the past eighteen years, no change was found in the symptom pattern of the Korean depressive. But, the differences of symptom appearance according to demographic variables were changed during the 18 years. Psychological symptoms were
evenly
distributed to the diagnostic subgroups. Female depressives manifested higher scores in depressive mood, agitation and loss of insight than male depressives did. The higher in educational level, the lower in the score of somatic symptom, G-I.
Christian
presented higher score in guilt than on-religious person.
